In its 30th year of existence, Spine Road High School was proud to host an Accounting Competition for high schools in 2014 – the first of its kind in the province.

 

Despite being a Mathematics and Science focussed school, Spine Road High’s Commerce Department has been growing tremendously. The school received an award for the most improved matric result in Accounting in the province, from the Western Cape Education Department in 2013. Last year the school won best performance in Accounting for the NSC examination.

 

This competition was  initiated by Ms L Beukes (EMS and Accounting teacher). It is aimed at promoting Accounting and rewarding learners and schools who excel in the subject and we welcome all schools to take part.

 

Since the success of the Inaugural Accounting Olympiad, Spine Road High is proud to announce that this competition will be an annual occurrence.
